A MS Power BI Architect. You will be working as a part of the data-driven Data Visualization Practice which is primarily responsible for building large scale BI solutions. You will be leveraging multiple visualization tools and technologies to create informative dashboards, and help enable clients and businesses to make impactful decisions.Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and expertise in Data Modeling and Database Design.
- Architect and develop data models, ETL packages, Reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices to the development lifecycle.
- Ability to query and display large data sets while maximizing the performance of Power BI dashboards.
- Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
- Ability to interpret technical or dashboard structure and translate complex business requirements to technical specifications.
- Documentation of source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and database design
- Identify areas of improvement to optimize data flows
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role where delivering solid work products to exceed high expectations is a measure of success.Essential Skills· 7-10 years of hands-on experience with architecting MS Power BI platform including design, development, installation, configuration and migration activities.· Proficient in building DAX queries in Power BI desktop.· Design, develop, conducts unit testing, and maintains complex Power BI reports/dashboards for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use.· Good experience in prototyping and designing reporting, data analytics and visualization solutions.· Understanding of advanced calculations and statistical functions.· A solid understanding of SQL, RDBMS, data modelling, and normalization.· Ability to translate complex and advanced functional, technical and business requirements into executable information design and dashboard wireframes.· Excellent data analysis skills including data mapping from source to target database schemas, data cleansing and processing, writing data extract scripts.· Hands-on experience with AZURE cloud platform.· Knowledge of work on Azure SQL Database.Good to have
- Experience with other visualization tools like Tableau.
- Working experience with large data sets.
· Good knowledge on Data Visualization principles and best practices.· Experience in sourcing data from disparate systems with a good understanding of the Data Models and ETL procedures.· Knowledge of Azure Data Factory Pipelines and SSIS.
