job summary:

Role Overview

• The Infrastructure and Operations Analyst performs operational enhancements, maintenance and support of the applications within the E2E Forecasting platform suite. The supported technology components include Java, Angular, Autosys, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Devops and JIRA. The Infrastructure and Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing platform security/access, providing application and infrastructure support, executing code migrations, and ensuring technology processes are aligned with tactical and strategic information management initiatives.
• The Infrastructure and Operations Analyst serves as liaison between the enterprise infrastructure support teams and production support staff to ensure appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with service delivery objectives. The Infrastructure and Operations Analyst also ensures the platform is positioned for compliance with IT policies and standards and agreed upon service levels.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ensures the overall health of the E2E forecasting suite of applications.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience.
• Manage code migrations, ensuring source control policies are being followed.
• Applies application maintenance releases, upgrades and hot fixes as required
• Designs, implements, and maintains platform security including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Exadata/Oracle.
• Work on Proof of Concepts to test new technologies.
• Work on Devops tools like BitBucket, Jenkins, JFrog artifactory , Ansible Tower and XL Release to enable Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
• Manages UNIX access, directory setup and required archival mechanisms.
• Coordinate with infrastructure support team for outages/upgrades.
• Performs platform capacity planning and management's Serves as an escalation point for escalated production and/or platform issues.
• Create documentation of the infrastructure and operations of the platform

Required Skills:

• Unix scripting, Oracle database Developer.
• Devops tools like BitBucket , Ansible , XL Release ,Jenkins ,JFrog Artifactory
• programing knowledge in Java, Python, Shell-scripting
• Solid understanding of application infrastructure on both cloud based and non-cloud.
• Core Application framework/library implementations
• Solid understanding of CI/CD setup and implementations
• Experience Range: ?= 7 years
• Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
• Certifications, If Any: Not Mandatory Desired skills: Experience in UNIX, Shell Scripting/Exadata/Oracle

Desired Skills:

• analytical, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are mandatory
• Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written)
• Willing to learn technologies like Openshift (cloud) etc.
• Knowledge of cloud or distributed computing
