Ameritas Life Insurance Corp., in Lincoln, Nebraska seeks Data Science Visualization Manager.
Responsible for leading data science projects, mentoring other data scientists, and delivering cutting edge AI/ML models and solutions; providing thought leadership on analytical roadmaps and functioning as the subject matter expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling & application, and financial impact analysis; managing project resources effectively to align with strategic priorities; participating in code reviews, designing model builds, partnering with data engineering and data governance teams, implementing operational procedures, validating models, and monitoring model drift; providing executive updates to leaders on project delivery, model effectiveness, summary findings, and recommended solutions; developing strong partnerships and collaborating with business partners, leaders, IT partners, and managers; implementing best practices for replicable analytics solutions, best coding practices, faster data science implementations, and continuous improvement; applying a broad range of advance modeling techniques and theories from statistics, machine learning, heuristics, NLP, and deep learning to create actionable algorithms and predictive models for the business; exercising judgment in selecting optimal AI/ML methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; and building robust DoE plans, testing plans, validation of models using unit test cases, and other applicable testing. Note: Employee may be stationed anywhere in continental U.S., reporting to headquarters in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Education: Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related engineering position. Other special requirements include: 2 years of experience leading the context, design, UI and development of business insights; 2 years of experience building and managing AI/ML/predictive analytics to ensure meeting customer needs and supportability, security, and scalability and security; 2 years of experience building analytical products, processes, SOPs, and change management; and 2 years of experience leading a team that develops data science and business intelligence models.
