SITUATION

My mother is 89, in good overall health, yet suffers neurological issues and dementia from hydrocephalus, is frail (physically and emotionally) and is wheelchair bound. She lives at home with me, her son and requires very attentive care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Companionship, fun and therapeutic activities, toileting, general housekeeping, cooking breakfast and lunch, bathing, exercise, cosmetics, hair and nails, etc.

The job is neither hard nor stressful, but we need you to be fully engaged and to do your best while on the job, rather than just giving a minimum of effort.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED

Female caregiver with at least SOME dementia/memory loss care experience required.

Nursing or CNA certification or nursing home experience preferred but not required.

In good health with strong back for lifting and transitioning.

Perfect health is not expected, but please do not apply with serious physical or mental issues.

PERSONAL QUALITIES

Attention to detail is fundamental because there are numerous details to attend to and we expect you to care about these and take care of them.

Good moral character with clean record, professional bearing, reliable, punctual, level-headed, honest, practicing the Golden Rule.

Pleasant, caring, compassionate, kind-hearted, respectful, agreeable, polite, considerate, energetic with good work ethic and quick to catch on.

Despite the seriousness of the job, you don't take yourself too seriously, are fun-loving and able to uplift and stay positive while enjoying your time with us.

Drug free, meaning not addicted to any hard drugs. We also prefer non-smokers. Smoking stinks and detracts from the job.

Natural or holistic health lifestyle is preferred. We do not use pharmaceutical drugs (with a few common sense exceptions) and want someone with similar views.

Both meat-eaters and vegans welcome. We just hope that you eat healthy and serve healthy food and drink.

Anti-NWO/Pro-freedom. Yet not fooled by Qanon. Thinking for yourself. Avoiding political extremes. This is extremely important.

As to political or religious views, its not our business, but prefer someone who at least tries to think independently, is tolerant and is able to question everything.

SCHEDULE AND PAY

10 hours per day, 1 or 2 days per week. 8am-6pm weekdays, 9am-7pm weekends. More hours very likely filling in or taking on more days. Occasional evenings are likely. Half shifts possible. CURRENT OPENING IS FOR WEEKENDS.

Above all, we need flexibility regarding hours. We prefer you work the standard 10 hour shift, on your designated days, but its understandable if you occasionally want to switch days or take time off. Or you might be asked if you can take another day of the week.

$20/hr with 1099 tax reporting, independent contractor responsible for own taxes.
