Application Software Engineer (Core Systems) 3

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce is looking for an Application Software Engineer (Core Systems) 3 with API skills to come aboard a contract to hire opportunity with one of our top Fortune 25 clients in Saint Louis, MO.Responsibilities: The Application Software Engineer will collaborate with product owner and business stakeholders to understand functional requirements Collaborate with architect and other team members to draft the solution design Collaborate with team members and product owner to identify, propose solutions, and ensure non-functional requirements are prioritized (e.g. performance, resiliency, scalability, maintainability, logging, monitoring, alerting) The Application Software Engineer will handle production support on-call rotations, and actively participate with root cause analysis and problem-solving sessions, and break fixes for any outages impacting the product Identify risks and dependencies for successful delivery of product, with a systems perspective in mind, and collaborate to manage themREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience (preferred) 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area Java, Spring, GoLang experience (very strong in at least one) APIs experience (REST), Confluent Kafka experience Cassandra, MongoDB, Teradata, or similar experience (must be very experienced in one) (SQL and Non-SQL), ETL processing (Talend preferred), Control-M experience Agile Development experience Experience building gitlab-cicd pipelines preferred Some AWS (i.e. S3) knowledge, Snowflake, DynamoDB preferred Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, SOAP, Python preferredThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
