Minimum Requirements:

ARMDS or CCI registration in the area(s) of specialization or ARRT Certified with Sonogram Endorsement.

Meet the requirements for registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonograpahers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or ARRT Certified with Sonogram Endorsement.

Job Responsibilities:

To utilize equipment to perform ultrasound diagnostic procedures, making use of sonic energy to produce visual images of organs, tissues, or blood flow inside the body for interpretation and diagnosis by a physician. To schedule patients, maintain equipment, report equipment failures, and perform quality assurance.

Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations.

Explains testing procedures to patient.

Performs job duties in accordance with the medical center's purpose, ensuring patient safety.

Communicates findings to appropriate personnel; maintains imaging data records, data tracking, and scheduling information.
