Timber Buyer Needed

Precision Landscape and Tree Inc is currently hiring a Timber buyer.

1. Duties and responsibilities will include

a. Receive leads from office and generate leads for standing timber

b. Cruise and identify woodland species and estimate merchantable volumes

c. Negotiate with landowners price per ton for each timber harvest

d. Maintain contact with customer/landowner throughout the harvest process, contact in person, email, call, and provide flyers to all adjacent properties

e. Communicate with private landowners, County, State and foresters

f. Attend weekly strategic meetings

g. Meet/communicate with PLT supervisor/foreman to go over each job under contract

(Pre harvest meeting)

Log all contacts

Provide cut plan

Cut area

Species to harvest

Species to be saved

How cut boundaries are marked

Access roads and landings

sensitive areas

Wetlands

Job Hazards

Any specific job details under the PLT Timber Sale Contract

Provide landowner contact information to the job foreman

h. Post-Harvest meeting with supervisor/foremen to ensure job is complete per PLT Contract and landowner satisfaction

i. Contact local gov’t entities for compliance and permits

j. To sell and promote the sale of the Company’s Services in the territory, including current services, future services, and services acquired by the company which it does not render services to multiple markets
