Remodel Technician

Building Maintenance Management Inc (BMM) is a local family - owned company. Since 1987, BMM has contracted its maintenance services to facilities throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area and the surrounding communities. Our customers represent a variety of facility types including multi-housing, medical and commercial.

We have an immediate need for an experienced remodel technician for our multi-unit housing properties in the Twin Cities.

As a Remodel Technician you will be responsible for:

Hang kitchen and bathroom cabinetry.

Install appliances.

Perform basic hardware installation.

Perform basic electrical work to include installing light fixtures, light switches, and outlets.

Perform basic plumbing to include installing sinks, faucets etc.

Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.

Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.

Complete payroll time sheets and mileage reimbursement and submit to supervisor as determined.

Adhere to company safety guidelines, policies, and procedure as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Ensure compliance of all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.

Assure safety standards are used which comply with all Company, Local, City, State and Federal guidelines.

Remodel Technician Qualifications:

3-5 years’ experience in construction and remodeling.

Work at various job sites around the metro area.

Reliable vehicle and clean driving record.

Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and bend as well.

Safely operate power and handheld tools.

Willingness to learn new skills and ask questions.

Strong customer relation skills.

A positive, “can-do” attitude.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Respond well to direction from the Project Manager.

Maintain a professional presence while on company time.

Must pass Kari Koskinen Manager Background Check and hard drug screen after acceptance of job offer.
