Job Description:

The Superintendent will oversee the day-to-day field operations, often managing several construction projects at a time. The primary responsibility is to coordinate, implement, and oversee the project, while ensuring the written plan and specifications are being met. The Superintendent will meet and exceed construction schedules and profitably projections. They will also keep a focus on delivering distinctive value to the owner. Communication is essential in this role as the Superintendent reports to the Vice President of Field Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide weekly schedule updates to Project Manager and VP of Field Operations with a “3 week look ahead schedule”

Assist with bid preparation by contacting subcontractors, ensuring follow up and organizing bid information

Assist Project Manager(s) by researching costs, scope of work issues, data entry of job information, budgets, purchase orders and production reports

Perform field work including measurements, photos, reports, observations and other tasks as directed

Preform quality take offs of plans under the direction of Project Manager(s)

Review and understand shop drawings and plans

Responsible for accurate maintenance of project records and timely updates to the Project Manager(s)

Coordinate project-related meetings (including: participant contact, assembly of materials, production meeting notes, collection of information and follow-up on unresolved issues)

Organize information received from the office staff and develop the job site project files

Be responsible for complete project quality control per company standards

Basic carpentry, finish carpentry, door hardware, gypsum drywall, etc. as required to complete the project

Coordinate and order material

Job planning and layout

Direct subcontractors

Ability to lift 50-100 pounds

Work nights or weekends for project as applies

Keep job site organized and clean

Adhere to OSAH regulations

Qualifications/ Requirements

5+ years of experience

Working proficiency in MS Software: Project, Excel, Word, Teams, Procore, Team, and Outlook

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to grasp analytical concepts and act upon them

Ability to work with project detail without confusion or loss of perspective

Ability to multi-task

Familiarity with plan reading

Detailed and organized

Self-motivated and independent

Team player

OSHA 30

Valid Driver’s License

Carpentry or trade experience skills are preferred
