Technical Office and Shop Assistant

Located in Warren, our small, family owned manufacturing company is seeking an individual with a technical background to effectively manage our office. As a crucial part of our team, you'll be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

- Skillfully handle phone calls and emails, maintaining meticulous and organized notes following established templates.

- Proactively engage with customers via phone or email, understanding their applications, providing equipment recommendations, and managing the entire communication process, including sending brochures, budgetary pricing, and formal quotes.

- Efficiently process parts orders, including quoting, ordering from suppliers, processing payments, overseeing parts shipping, and more.

- Support shop production by managing shop supplies, acquiring necessary materials, and assisting with day-to-day shop activities.

- Process customer product samples using our in-house testing machine, generate test reports and videos, and communicate results and equipment recommendations to customers.

- Access extensive training documents and videos, supplemented with in-person training, to excel in all the above responsibilities.

Education and Skills Preferred:

- Technical degree (associates or engineering). Candidates without formal technical education will be considered based on experience and ability to grasp technical aspects of mechanical machinery.

- Proficiency in Email, MS Office, and QuickBooks (training provided). Basic photo editing skills for project documentation are desirable.

- Possess refined phone and email etiquette.

- Hands-on experience with basic machinery or automotive is an added advantage.

- Additional technical skills (CAD, PLC programming, Electrical Panel building and wiring, Machinery repairing, etc.) are significant pluses.
