The Project Manager manages the planning, coordination, and execution of the Company's monthly accounting close and quarterly financial reporting processes and the Company's annual internal control over financial reporting program. The Project Manager, Finance also manages special projects within the Finance department as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide project management capabilities, expertise, and ongoing support to the Finance department.
  • Assist in project planning, project management, and coordination of the Company’s monthly accounting close and quarterly financial reporting process.
  • Assist in project planning, project management, and coordination of the Company’s annual SOX program, including coordination with stakeholders across relevant departments.
  • Work closely with the Company’s internal and external audit teams to facilitate efficient project management and the ensure timely support by the Finance department of audit activities.
  • Assist with the preparation and presentation of reporting on project status.
  • Assist team members in creating deliverables to support the development and execution of department strategy.
  • Assist team members in synthesizing data from multiple sources and preparing presentations and reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand problems, recommend solutions, escalate issues, and provide full transparency into current workload.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across other departments to ensure the efficient execution of Finance projects.
  • Support the strategic goals of the department and Company.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and JIRA preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting close, financial reporting, and internal control over financial reporting processes preferred.
  • Ability to be adaptable and take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with associates at all levels within and outside of the organization.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, while maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3+ years of project management or equivalent experience required.
  • Insurance or financial services experience preferred.
