Marine Mechanic Full-Time $25-$35/hr
Northport Boat Yard in Northport, MI, owned and operated by KAM Marine, is hiring a FULL TIME MARINE MECHANIC. This candidate will join our team of experienced factory trained technicians, skilled craftsmen, and rigging experts. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Troubleshooting and inspecting motors to locate defective parts
Operating boats to conduct operational tests
Starting motors and monitoring performance for signs of
Adjusting carburetor mixtures, electrical point settings, or timing while motors are running in water-filled test tanks
Repairing engine mechanical
Servicing marine drivelines
The ideal candidate is certified, has a good working knowledge of boat systems, enjoys working outside, is familiar with computers and diagnostic equipment, able to stand for long periods of time, able to lift heavy objects, and has a clear understanding of marine engines/components.
