DRE, Hard Trim and Overhead Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a DRE, Hard Trim and Overhead Systems in Warren, MI. As a Hard Trim and Overhead Systems DRE, you will be responsible to develop and integrate hard trim and overhead components into the vehicle interior.This position involves responsibility for development activities throughout a vehicle's lifecycle including: Definition of requirements Execution of design Testing and validationThis role requires an experienced engineer to lead and drive a cross-functional product development team including collaboration with the following groups:Within Engineering: Interior Restraints Systems Body Systems CCC Overhead and Hard Trim components Electrical System HVAC System Cargo Management SystemOutside of Engineering: Creative Design Purchasing Manufacturing Quality SuppliersREQUIREMENTS: 3 or more years of experience developing and executing technical solutions for mechanical components to support new vehicle programs Balancing business imperatives, including but not limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timing Comfort working with multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and rapid change in a results-driven environment Knowledge of plastic materials, compression molding and injection moldingFamiliarity with structured problem-solving methods such as: Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) - Green belt certification or higher Red-X Experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
