It is a challenge that demands the skills of a financial services professional and the intelligence of an academic-all combined with a passion for public service.This job is eligible for a hybrid schedule with some onsite work expected. #LI-HybridOverview of Team/ Function:As a Senior Risk Analyst III, you will perform a wide array of financial risk analyses to support the Regional and Community Supervision function (R&C or Unit). Reporting to the Exam Manager, you will oversee aspects of the daily responsibilities of the offsite supervision program, which requires monitoring First District banks and holding companies. You will work in collaboration with the onsite examination team to identify emerging risks and develop appropriate risk profiles to inform supervisory strategies. Also, you will ensure other supervision-related responsibilities are conducted in accordance with Federal Reserve Board of Governors (Board) guidance. You will earn the commissioned examiner designation.The position and job description posted is for a Senior Risk Analyst III. However, you will be placed into an appropriate level within the Risk Analyst family (including Senior Risk Analyst III or Lead Risk Analyst) based on your degree of knowledge and experience. Responsibilities:

  • Lead the portfolio management function for designated state member banks and holding companies, which includes meeting the requirements associated with the Board Surveillance program and the R&C portfolio monitoring program. Review staff work products, ensuring they meet Unit and Board quality standards. Also, provide direction on the use of complex risk data and tools supporting the work of the Unit.
  • Independently perform or participate in the most complex, sensitive, and high-profile reviews to impart expert-level perspective and independent recommendations. Maintain an advanced understanding of risk processes to identify issues or concerns and highlight industry trends.
  • Maintain ongoing expert-level knowledge of supervisory guidance and prevailing issues, maintain an understanding of the current market and economic environment, and provide informed direction to lower-level staff. Convey important conclusions and issues to management.
  • Manage complex projects even when guidance is unclear, including adjusting and realigning the scope, assignments, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Contribute to the bank's culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the development and achievement of team goals. Provide ongoing training, support, and balanced performance feedback to more junior staff, with a focus on staff development. Also, manage assignments to provide staff development opportunities and thereby enhance overall staffing strength and engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Master's degree and seven years+ of related work experience. You will complete the Examiner Commissioning Program (ECP).
