We believe in providing staffing solutions to address the current talent gap - Right Talent - Right Time - Right Place - Right Price and acting as a Career Coach to our consultants.Title: Associate Research ScientistDuration: 12 monthsLocation: Cambridge, MAPay:- $37-47/hr on w2Job Description: Position Summary:The successful candidate will work broadly with the research organization to support drug discovery programs, by conducting experimental work in a translational setting, including developing and implementing cutting-edge technology and Client cellular, molecular and biochemical assays in cancer and inform opportunities for new therapeutic interventions.Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient tissue samples processing and ex vivo model development including patient-derived cell culture, maintenance, propagation and banking. Design, optimize, and set up routine and Client cellular assays to characterize drug responses. Conduct molecular, biochemical and related assays including qPCR, ELISA, Western blot, immunostaining and basic microscopy. Effectively communicate and document experimental procedures, results and data through reports, publications, and internal meetings. Design, optimize, execute, analyze and interpret scientific experiments with some supervision. Collaborate with other team members in areas of responsibility.Qualifications & Experience: A BS with 0-8 years of experience or an M.S. with a minimum of 0-2 years of laboratory experience in cellular biology, oncology and molecular biology; job title will be commensurate with previous experience Hands on experience with a wide range of in vitro cellular and biochemical assays such as cell culture, western blotting, immunofluorescence staining is required. Ability to conduct cell line and primary cell culture/maintenance/expansion and take other lab duties as needed. Specific experience with processing of biological samples for downstream characterization is preferred. Experience with designing, optimizing and running high-throughput assays is preferred. Proficiency in utilizing software such as Graph Pad, Microsoft office etc. for data analysis and figure generation is required.
