A bit about us:We are a $150MM+ venture-backed, mission-driven start-up working at the intersection of FinTech and EdTech that is transforming access to alternative and higher education by offering solutions to traditional financial educational support and student loan products! Our 30-person (and growing!) team believes in the power of education to fuel economic mobility, and also recognizes the limitations of society's current approach to funding education. We seek to increase educational access by leveraging alternative data sets, innovative modeling techniques, and school-supported funding to offer outcomes-driven funding products on the basis of students' future career trajectories, rather than their historical family credit profile. We're seeking a Director of Engineering in Boston, MA to join our team! This role will be hybrid-In office, with 3 days a week on-site in Boston.

Job DetailsYou HaveBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent bootcamp or upskilling program experience6+ years working in a SaaS startup regularly delivering features, or equivalent experience building similar web applicationsDeep experience with a combination of the following technologies:Javascript & TypeScript (React, NextJS, Recoil), Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc.), HTML, CSSSQL (we use Postgresql); NoSQL a bonusAWS or Google Cloud ExperienceExperience with modern cloud and container tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.Interested in hearing more?
