Data Engineer II

Circle Internet Financial, LLC has multiple openings for multiple positions including Data Engineer II for WFH opportunity.

Responsibilities: The Data Engineer II is responsible for improving internal data consumption and fraud risk through creating machine learning solutions and scalable data pipelines. Specific duties of the position include: collaborating with product, operations, and company software engineering teams to identify analytical problems in the realm of fraud detection, risk management, and customer support optimization for resolution with data-based solutions; creating predictive data models using machine learning techniques that seek to optimize product and customer-facing applications; contributing to the building of data platforms, pipelines, and warehouses, and building and launching sophisticated data models; contributing to analytical projects for data collection necessitated by various company teams and departments and ensuring proper data identification, recording, transformation, and furnishment for consumption of said data; and working with company data sources and data inflows and outflows. Employee can be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report directly to company headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.

Education: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Requirements: Two (2) years year of experience in the job offered or a related position. Other special requirements include: Two years of experience working cross-functionally between production, engineering, and operations roles on data consumption and data platforms; Two years of experience using programming languages such as SQL and Python, to build data infrastructure and deliver end-to-end analytical projects; Two years of experience building data pipelines and develop data platforms; and two years of experience designing efficient relational data models and implementing data warehousing solutions.
