Summary:The CNC department is in charge of operating computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts. The CNC operator loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The position runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment.Job Functions:

Load and unload parts into machines.

Use basic measuring equipment to inspect ports.

Maintain production rates.

Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.

Performs inspection of machined products, and maintains inspection logs.

Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.

Follow detailed work instructions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to read drawings or blueprints.

Inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments.

Experience operating CNC machines.

Full knowledge of inspection tools.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position at work station.

Frequently moves parts weighing up to 20lbs.
