Clinical Manager of Youth Services (LCSW or LMHC)

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for oversight of therapeutic care provided to participants in the youth service programs. The role ensures that each youth served by the organization will receive quality therapeutic care, and that all clinical programs adhere to federal and state licensing regulations. The Clinical Manager provides clinical consultation and/or supervision to clinical and non-clinical staff in Centerboard’s clinically served youth service programs.

JOB FUNCTIONS

● Ensure all requirements of Rehab Options per the rehab options contract.

● Ensure initial completion and ongoing updates of biopsychosocial assessments, individualized treatment plans, safety plans, discharge plans, and CANS assessments.

● Ensure completion of risk assessments and updates to safety plans as needed.

● Ensure program implementation of treatment plans, review treatment plans regularly to ensure residents are on track.

● Ensure provision of group and family therapy consistent with each residents’ treatment plan.

● Ensure weekly contact with families of assigned residents unless restricted for safety.

● Assist with the development and delivery of staff training toward the implementation of a solid, clinical treatment program, create and conduct training for monthly all staff meetings.

● Ensure that clinical staff attends program staff meetings to discuss residents and support staff and make necessary referrals for wrap around support.

● Ensure that the clinical team establishes a leadership role by having a presence in the milieu and role model clinical interventions with milieu staff, including working with milieu staff in the delivery of crisis intervention services as needed and spend at least 1 hour weekly on the floor training in the moment.

● Provide formal and informal clinical supervision for program staff as needed.

● Supervise BSW and MSW clinical interns as indicated by the Clinical Director.

● Collaborate with DCF, Family Networks, school personnel, other collaterals, and community resources to discuss progress/concerns relative to youth and programs.

● Ensure that clinicians are equipped to chair Treatment Team meetings at 30 days, then at least quarterly and if a youth is not making sufficient progress, schedule and run emergency team meetings as needed and meet with Program Director weekly.

● Work closely with Program Directors to assist with clinical matters in the milieu

● Participate in Youth Service’s Leadership Team as indicated, as well as lead Critical Case Review Team.

● Attend leadership trainings as assigned.

● Complete all required documentation in a professional, timely manner

● Participate in clinical on-call rotation

● Consistently meet professional license requirements

● On occasion, share direct care floor coverage with administrative staff, when requested for support.

● Ability to work with youth or youth and families in a changing setting which may include transitional care and aftercare outreach.

● Read, understand, and implement expectations in youth services policies and procedures, as well as the resident handbook.

● Required to use personal vehicle, when Centerboard vehicle is not available in order to meet aftercare outreach or appointment requirement

● Obtain required training for organization and job position, in addition to any other training mandated by Centerboard, including multicultural awareness orientation.

● Support Programs in times of crisis

● Produce rehab options reports and submit as required.

● Train staff on use of rehab options and how it applies to the milieu.

● Complete other tasks or job assignments as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree of Social Work (or related field) required.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or (LMHC) required.

Must have experience in independent provision of diagnostic assessment, individual, group, and family therapy. Required to pass initial competency evaluation as well as continued assessments of professional development and future trainings. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive 12-16 passenger vans, access to and use of a personal vehicle may also be required.
