Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for an Information Security Engineer in Baltimore, MD. The particulars of the opportunity are below:Description:The client is looking for an information security engineer with a focus on server and workstation vulnerability mitigation. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging the vulnerability management software platform to plan and execute server and workstation vulnerability remediation. You will utilize your expertise to prioritize vulnerability remediation to be in line with business objectives, formulate and track remediation actions for technical teams, and support operational patching. This is a challenging role in a high performing information security team, and an opportunity to act as a vulnerability management subject matter expert, play a technical leadership role in clients continuing cyber security improvements while broadening your skills in an enterprise-wide information security policy and compliance program.Information Security Engineer, Workstation and Server Vulnerability Management responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Analyze city-wide vulnerability scanning results. Develop and implement a risk-based server and workstation remediation program. Package and submit SCCM remediation updates Troubleshoot and diagnose issues that may arise from deploying SCCM updates. Research and diagnose issues related to installation of patches and provide guidance. Provide expertise and operational support for submitting risk-based vulnerability management metrics and scorecards. Document workstation and server vulnerability remediation processes. Respond to notifications and alerts of potential threats to reprioritize vulnerability mitigations when necessary. Provide support to Agency IT to remediate desktop vulnerabilities. Support server and workstation asset management initiatives. Monitor the progress of vulnerability remediation activities and provide regular status updates. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in computer engineering/science. Minimum 2 years SCCM Packaging and Deploying Applications Experience. 2 plus years of experience reviewing vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies. 2 plus years of experience administrating vulnerability management solutions Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to review system changes for potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements. Understanding of information security Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodologies. Previous tools experience working with Tenable.io, SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager, Rapid7 InsightVM, Qualys, or equivalent toolsets. Solid understanding of security fundamentals and information security control frameworks. Technical understanding in the following areas: network communication using TCP/IP protocols, basic system administration, basic understanding of malware (malware communication installation, or malware types). Good team player, self-confident, motivated, and independent, capable of working with little to no instructions. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Attention to details and good problem-solving skills.
