DevOps Engineer Duties:
  • Deploy and configure cloud services according to best practice.
  • Use system automation technologies such as Jenkins, Copado, TFS/Azure DevOps, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or others industry standard CI/CD tools.
  • Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems using infrastructure as code and modern cloud-native deployment techniques such as DevOps and/or DevSecOps.
  • Design and support Continuous Delivery
  • Work with Solution Architects to conduct proof of concepts (POCs) and assist in Production implementations.
  • Assess existing application stacks and suggest cloud native services for applicability.
  • Assess existing environments for opportunities to simply, automate or bring efficiency to technical processes.
  • Develops automation scripts for efficient deployment and operations of cloud environments.
  • Advanced troubleshooting includes analyzing log & trace files, opening service requests, collecting documentation, working with Vendors, and driving problem resolution.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience DevOps or cloud architecture in Azure or AWS
  • 3+ years of experience with supporting and developing DevOps processes using Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins (CloudBees or open source), or Azure DevOps
  • 2+ years of experience creating deployment scripts with Jenkins or Azure Pipes
  • Experience deploying Salesforce, Snowflake or Tableau through an automated DevOps process.
  • Experience with documenting procedures
  • Working knowledge of software deployment, versioning, and release management processes
  • Experience working with and supporting software production server environments.
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
  • US citizen or a Green Card holder
  • Experience with CloudBees Jenkins
  • Experience with Copado
  • Salesforce administration and deployment experience
  • Experience in Agile practices
  • Experienced in Agile software development practices and tools, such as Atlassian JIRA
  • Work experience supporting Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) agency or other Federal agencies.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices and an understanding of industry trends and difficulties
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority.
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment
