This is a direct-hire opportunity based out of Westbrook, ME.Seeking a full-time HR Assistant to provide direct support to the Human Resources Manager and the function of Human Resources. Highlighted duties include verifying employee time and attendance, payroll maintenance, and HR systems upkeep. A successful individual in this position will be highly self-motivated and will have the opportunity to gain a wide range of additional skills in Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits in an ever-changing, fast-paced manufacturing environment.Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, plus a minimum of two years combined experience in HR administration, payroll & benefit processing, and/or general HR experience.
- Strong interest and proficiency in HRIS maintenance and data entry.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel including the use of formulas, data analytics, and the ability to present clear, concise, and accurate data.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and resourceful mindset.
- Excellent natural interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize work and adapt to changing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in an HR-related field preferred, and professional HR-related certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of general labor laws, EEO, and other federal/state regulations preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Assisting in processing payroll by verifying time and attendance as well as daily payroll maintenance for 230+ employees.
- Maintaining an accurate company database on time within several systems, including but not limited to: UltiPro, Kronos, SuccessFactors, Benefit Solver, and other systems as needed.
- Performing file and system audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Assisting with employee requests, questions, and providing general employee support in a professional, engaging, supporting, and positive manner.
- Providing employee support during initial benefit enrollment, annual open enrollment process, and benefits maintenance.
- Supporting new employee onboarding, which may include recruitment, interviewing, selection process, completing background checks, completing forms, and file maintenance.
- Suggesting new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization, and to improve the employee experience.
- Participating in the development of HR objectives and HR systems by compiling and preparing standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
