Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fire Alarm Technician at Derby Fire Services located in Louisville Metropolitan Area. The Fire Alarm Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and repairing fire alarms and other low-voltage equipment in commercial and residential buildings. They will also troubleshoot and identify the root causes of systems failures and make recommendations on how to prevent future issues. Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or a related field.

Knowledge of fire protection systems, fire alarms, and associated testing and maintenance.

Experience interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.

Familiarity with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards, International Building Code (IBC) and National Electric Code (NEC).

A valid driver's license, with a good driving record, and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Ability to climb ladders and lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues and provide excellent customer service.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Completion of vocational or technical training in fire alarm systems or a related field is preferred.
