Big Data / Hadoop / Splunk Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Louisville, KY that is seeking a Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Administrator.Responsibilities: In this role, the Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Administrator runs and manages Hadoop clusters and the other resources in the Hadoop ecosystem Installing and maintaining Hadoop clusters and ecosystems thereby preventing problems and enhancing overall performance The Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Administrator will add and remove nodes using cluster monitoring tools like Cloudera Manager Ability to plan and estimates if there is a need to lower or increase the capacity of the Hadoop cluster Perform backup and recovery tasks Troubleshoot Hadoop application errors and preventing them from happening again As a Big Data/Hadoop/Splunk Administrator, you will maintain resource and security managementREQUIREMENTS: Experience with data modeling like designing and implementation of data based on recognized standards Experience with software installation and its configuration Backup and recovery operation of Database experience Experience checking database connectivity and its security measurements Experience with performance monitoring and fine tuning on actual basis Experience managing and optimizing disk space for handling data Experience installing patches and upgrading software as and when needed Ability to automate manual tasks for faster performance Cloudera CDP experience Candidates qualifying for this position will have similar experience along with the skills and abilities to perform the duties mentioned Any relevant education and/or training will be considered a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
