AV Manager/Engineer needed for Multi-Purpose Venue/Restaurant

The Last Refuge, an exciting New Multi-Purpose Venue/Restaurant in NuLu, seeks an AV Manager.

Job Description / Duties

Scope: Part Time AV Manager needed for new dynamic multi-purpose event space located in NuLu. Candidates must have at least 5 years of live sound experience and 2 years of AV Management experience. Candidates must have a basic understanding of Dante and professional competency on the Midas M32 digital audio mixing board. This position will grow into a full time salary position with PTO and health, dental and vision insurance.

AV Gear / Areas

AV gear maintenance - establish “fix it” crates and labeling system

Clean installed AV components - blow out dust, etc., as needed

AV gear repair drop off/pickup from repair shop(s)

Define and source gear upgrade/replacement needs

Organize and maintain AV Gear areas (AV Closets)

Public Events

Schedule AV Labor

AV setup, operation and strike

Event advancing with talent buyers, event producers, bands and performers

Review/place AV rental orders when applicable

Distribute drink tickets and paychecks to band leaders and performers

Private Dining (PD) Events w/ AV

Follow the PD AV advancing process

AV operation

Schedule AV Labor

Client walk throughs when applicable

Event advancing with client, event producers and client’s AV team

Review/place AV rental orders when applicable and inform Sales of such

Co-design AV PD Pricing w/ AV Director and GM

AV Team

Freelance engineer hiring/training/managing/scheduling

Create training systems for AV Team members and Operations Team members

Create skill assessment testing of team members and set goals for each

Update Band, Dancer, Performer, DJ and AV Vendor contact info

Report all AV issues with AV Director

IT Gear

IT - mild deployment of SSIDs and hardline internet feeds / maintenance

Venue

Light bulb Orders/Inventory

AV Team changes venue’s light bulbs

Pseudo venue event coordinator - thoroughly reviews ALL monthly events for booking issues, inconsistencies, oversights = Public Events Sheet creation and posting

Create AC power map of venue and label all breakers
