Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure API architectures using Azure API Management and Azure API Gateway. Define and enforce API standards, guidelines, and best practices for API development and integration. Collaborate with solution architects to align API architecture with overall system architecture and integration patterns. Evaluate and recommend API management and gateway solutions to meet business requirements. Design, implement, and maintain API management solutions using Azure services, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Develop and enforce API governance policies and standards, ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance requirements. Collaborate with development teams to identify, define, and document API requirements, including authentication, authorization, throttling, and caching mechanisms. Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing APIs, identify areas for improvement, and recommend appropriate strategies and enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to API management, addressing performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other concerns. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in Azure API Management and API Gateway, and evaluate their potential impact on our systems and processes. Provide training and mentoring to developers and other team members on Azure API Management and API Gateway concepts, best practices, and usage guidelines. Establish and maintain API governance processes, including API versioning, documentation, and access control. Define and implement API lifecycle management processes, including API creation, testing, deployment, and retirement. Monitor and enforce API usage policies, security, and compliance standards. Conduct regular reviews and audits of APIs to ensure adherence to established standards and best practices. Scale API infrastructure to accommodate increasing traffic and user demands. Monitor and analyze API usage patterns and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
