Hiring crew members for residential cosmetic renovations in Indianapolis. Work is 1099 contract labor. You must supply your own tools. Materials are onsite and ready for installation. Ability to work without supervision and read from a room and line scope of work is mandatory. Use of phone application to document work status and completion required. Must be proficient in all aspects of residential construction including in the following specific trade skills:

Demo - Removal of cabinets, fixtures, and hardware, use of temporary lighting/power, PPE best practices, and securing against continued water intrusion or damage from the elements and theft prevention.

Prep - Use of drop sheets, hanging plastic, and masking paper where appropriate. Proper wall and trim prep for painting.

Framing - Subfloor replacement, reframing windows, and rot repair. Knowledge of structural components required though structural repairs not common.

Drywall - Experience with drywall repair from nail holes and door knob holes to full sheet, level 5 installation as well as texture matching for walls and ceiling.

Millwork - Skills required include installing base, corner, sills, and casing. Must be able to mortise and bore for hanging door slabs.

Painting - Must show a proficiency and speed with a brush cutting in. Use of spray equipment preferred for ceiling and trim.

Windows - Install new vinyl windows and repair single pane glass. Includes removal of existing, install, and finishing. Must be familiar with repairing balances and window locks as well.

Electrical - Skills required include replacing outlets, GFCI's, and switches, including 3-ways as well as light fixture installation including flush mount, recessed, fluorescent, sconce, security, chandelier, and ceiling fan fixtures.

Plumbing - Must be able to install tub and shower kits, replace all faucet types, tub/shower/sink, install toilets, and identify parts required for drain hookups.

Hardware - Includes installation of door hardware, blinds, bathroom hardware, and furniture assembly.

Flooring - Refinish hardwood, install LVP, LVT, vinyl sheet, and ceramic tile.

Siding - Be able to install and repair wood, vinyl, and metal siding.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential renovations for Intermediate Crew Member.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in residential renovations for Advanced Crew Member.

Pay is weekly and flat rate. All work is based on a room and line scope of work with work order system to track completion. Your speed, skill, tool set, and efficiency determine your rate of pay. An Intermediate Crew Member can expect to earn an average of $20+ per hour. An Advanced Crew Member is expected to be able to earn $30+ per hour.
