A bit about us:Stealth startup backed by Polychain, Robot Ventures, Accel, and the Solana Foundation is growing! Their product is a blockchain ecosystem that will allow others to build out blockchain to their own application. They're building a high-performance, modular infrastructure to scale blockchains by separating the "slow" part of blockchains from executing programs and data availability (similar to Cosmos or Polkadot just much faster). With their infrastructure, any application can scale and spin out as its own blockchain without increasing its security risk. They have a very competitive compensation package and great benefits. They are looking for a Staff-level Engineer to work on the development of mission-critical systems in addition to managing a small engineering team. Experience building distributed systems and experience with Rust are required for this position.Projects You Might Work On

• Building our novel trust-minimized (honest minority) settlement layer for Solana VM rollups
• Supporting additional bytecodes for Eclipse rollups
• Integrating oracles so they automatically work with all our rollups
• Novel customizations by the request of dApps deploying to our app

Job DetailsThe Staff Protocol Engineer to work on the development of mission-critical systems in addition to managing a small engineering team. The ideal candidate has worked at a blockchain infrastructure company and is skilled in the architecture and design of such. They are also open to a higher-level software engineer who has experience with high performant, high-throughput systems (ideally at a FAANG / Web2 tech company, hedge fund, HFT firm, OR similar).Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Rust (at least 2-3 years experience)
• Skilled in building distributed systems
• Experience with building high performant, high-throughput systems
• Bachelor's in EECS, Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent from a top CS program
• Coming from a FAANG / Web2 tech company, hedge fund, HFT firm, blockchain infrastructure, or similar
• Experience overseeing other engineers and building / scaling high-performing engineering teams within a high growth organization
