Medical Interpreter – Cantonese/Vietnamese/Ukrainian/Arabic

Part-Time Language Interpreters/On-site Translators Needed

We are currently seeking interpreters to provide on-site, spoken translation for the following languages: Cantonese, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, Arabic, Italian, Greek, Serbian/Bosnian/Croatian, Romanian, Korean, Assyrian, Lithuanian, Japanese, Haitian Creole, and more. There is a referral bonus of $1000 per referral after the new interpreter completes 25 paid interpreting assignments, so please connect us with anyone you know who speaks these languages.

Use your linguistic skills to provide a meaningful service to your language community as a professional Medical Interpreter. ILS provides on-site interpreting services for patients with limited English proficiency at medical offices throughout the Greater Chicago Area. This is a part-time, contract opportunity. Appointment time and location will vary.

Requirements:

- Must have minimum 20 hrs/wk availability within working hours (M-F, 7:30am-5:00pm) appointments vary.

- Must be able to travel to and from medical offices throughout the city and suburbs.

- Must be legally authorized to work for an employer in the United States without sponsorship.

- Must have a certificate of Medical Interpreter training. Those without a certificate will be required to pay to complete a 40-hour training program before accepting paid assignments.
