Highly Organized House Manager/Personal Assistant Needed in East Lakeview

A private family with a residence in East Lakeview would like to hire a long-term House Manager/Personal Assistant who will assume responsibility for the smooth operation of their home, other family owned properties and rental properties. The position is part-time, three days a week.

The right candidate will have a well-rounded skillset and possess an in-depth knowledge of running a busy household. Must have prior experience working as a House Manager / Personal Assistant in a private home or relevant, related experience.

Requirements of the position include:

Confident, highly organized, detailed oriented, self-motivated and independent.

Must be able to multi-task.

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable car for running errands and grocery shopping. You will receive a tank of gas each week. A designated parking space (next to home) is available during working hours.

Ability to address household issues in a time sensitive manner and be able to get the job done efficiently.

A positive and respectful attitude is a must as you will be dealing with many people in supporting the household and rental properties.

Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

Must be able to climb stairs. House has three levels.

Must pass background check.

Duties of the position include but are not limited to:

Schedule and supervise maintenance of home and rental property projects.

Grocery shopping – maintain refrigerator, pantry, liquor and household supply inventories.

Dry cleaning drop-off and pick up.

Pack and ship items via UPS, FedEx and/or USPS.

Water plants, coordinate seasonal landscape services. Gardening knowledge is a plus.

General errands.

Work with rental properties, rental parking and tenants. Communicate with tenants (on an as-needed basis) in a timely fashion.

Light housekeeping – straightening up, dishes on days without housekeeper.

Light bulb replacement.

Schedule USPS mail hold, household timers and set house alarm when family is out of town.

Supervise housekeeper and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.

Other duties may be required from time-to-time incident to the operation and maintenance of the household.

Some party and menu planning; supervision of caterers and staff.

Drop off and pick up family vehicles for maintenance.

Occasional car pick-up at airport(s).

The housekeeper is responsible for overall cleaning and laundry.

No child care is needed.

Pet care may be required in the future.
