Job DetailsYour responsibilities
  • Perform routine engineering activities associated with various field projects. Assist with the more complex installation, start up, test, modification and repair work
  • Monitor progress and quality and inform senior engineer of problems. Compile operational data, compare with predicted performance and determine variations
  • Analyze nature and scope of routine problems and malfunctions and provide information for resolution. Maintain detailed records and logs
  • Utilize computer programs for various engineering, administrative and office procedural purposes. Perform calculations and provide pertinent data and information
  • Participate in and assist more experienced engineers involved in a variety of field operations, in order to gain experience and a better understanding of field service responsibilities. Participate in conferences with customer's operating management and other personnel, consulting engineers, contractors and vendors and provide technical advice associated with own area of expertise
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience. Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairs and assist in determining resource requirements
  • Often work demand service on unplanned and non-standard schedules, including weekends and holidays, at off site locations with exposure to varying environmental conditions.Travel time is estimated at 60 to 70%. International travel may also be required from time to time
  • Identify sales leads and opportunities for applicable Force measurement products, systems, spare parts, repairs and other services. Collaborate with others on the local team to help drive business growth
Your background
  • Bachelors Degree in engineering or related field with minimum 8 years of experience or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments
  • Work experience in engineering or maintenance functions in the steel or aluminum industries a plus
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, vendors, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to apply engineering mathematics to solve for both mechanical and electrical solutions
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
  • Requires a valid driver's license and Passport
  • Must be electro mechanically inclined. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel suite products is a must
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US
