Pets-Chicago is hiring for a solid route in the Gold Coast for amazing dogs from late am through dinner for Monday through Friday! We have been providing individual dog walks, cat visits and in-home vacation care- in Chicago since 2003. We're currently looking to hire a responsible animal lover to join our team!
Pets-Chicago is small on purpose. The caliber of clients we have and the location we service is phenomenal, and our staff is amazing. Pets-Chicago is accommodating to students, artists, single moms, etc. and understands that life balance is extremely important, no matter what field you are in. If you lack experience but have the drive and ambition to work with dogs and cats, and the occasional bird or reptile, please do not hesitate to reach out.
The dynamic of pet care has changed significantly, and dogs and cats are not simply pets, they are family members and the responsibility of taking care of someone's beloved pet is sacred and we do not take it lightly.
Qualifications and Skills for this position:
- Reliability, kindness, time management and open communication skills are essential
- Be comfortable being outside in all sorts of weather
- Understand that if a dog/cat has an accident we must clean
- Respect people's homes, take shoes off, wipe dogs down thoroughly, etc.
- Have a smartphone or mobile device with WiFi and/or cellular data capabilities and daily internet access.
- Intend to make this job a long-term commitment - there is a signing bonus
- Pass a background check before starting the position.
Compensation:
- Average hourly rate during regular hours is $20/hour
- AM/PM and weekend walks average to more than $25/hour
- Weekly payments, you are an Independent Contractor
-Pets-Chicago will cover UBER/LYFT when needed and offers incentives which include, bringing on new clients, vacation care is 100% to you directly.
