Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant to join our esteemed accounting department. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where accuracy, efficiency, and dedication are highly valued. The successful candidate will be tasked with helping to manage our company's financial records, including sales, receipts, payments, and payroll journal entries. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our finance department and requires a candidate who is detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.

Responsibilities

Maintaining financial records: You will be responsible for recording all day-to-day financial transactions of our company.

A/R and A/P: You will help manage accounts receivable and payable, ensuring all invoices are issued and payments are made in a timely manner.

General Ledger maintenance: You will be responsible for maintaining the GL, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Payroll: You will complete the journal entries after payroll is processed weekly. You will work closely with our accounting team to streamline accounting functions and operations to ensure that all accounting processes align with the company overall business goals.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience is required, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in bookkeeping software, with a minimum of 3 years SAGE 50 accounting software experience required. Knowledge of A/R, A/P, and GL maintenance is essential. The successful candidate will also have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a high level of integrity, discretion for handling confidential information, and a strong professional demeanor.
