Accountant / Safety

Our trucking company is looking for an experienced full time Accountant / Safety to manage the day to day activities of our business.

Responsibilities:

Work on AP/AR and collections

Be familiar with major brokers and their online portals

Manage factoring account

Create financial reports

Manage the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes and reporting processes

Manage payroll

Calculate and file IFTA

Manage claim investigations and claim control

Driver screening, hiring and DQ files maintenance

Manage all registrations, permits and insurance

Maintain equipment files and maintenance records

Monitor hours of service regulations

Implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations

including FMCSA and DOT

Qualifications:

2 years of related experience in trucking industry

Experience working with Quick Books Online, Pro Transport or ITS Dispatch

Strong attention to detail, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines

Excellent customer service skills

Strong organization skills

Knowledge and understanding of the Electronic Logging Device (ELD) rules and regulations

Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Drug & Alcohol Regulations and other Regulatory Guidance
