The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and managing inventory, with a specific focus on tires. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring timely availability of automotive parts to meet customer demands.
Responsibilities:
1. Receiving and Inspection:
o Receive incoming shipments of automotive parts, with a primary focus on tires.
o Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and damages.
o Verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
2. Stocking and Inventory Management:
o Organize and stock tires and other automotive parts in designated storage areas, make sure labels are facing out and visible.
o Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
o Rotate stock and conduct regular inventory bin counts to ensure accuracy.
3. Order Picking and Fulfillment:
o Pick and pack orders accurately for timely delivery or customer pickup.
o Assist in the preparation of orders for parts delivery drivers.
4. Organization and Cleanliness:
o Keep the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
o Follow safety guidelines and participate in regular safety meetings.
5. Equipment Operation:
o Operate forklifts (need to be certified), pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
6. Assisting in the warehouse:
o Pulling tires for the back counterman and taking them to the necessary tire machine.
o Working with the warehouse manager with a variety of shipping/receiving and inventory tasks.
o Occasionally filling in for parts delivery drivers as needed.
o Assisting with any other tasks or projects as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
Comfortable standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
Policies and procedures:
Employees must park in the designated employee parking.
You must clock out for your lunch. Minimum 30 mins, maximum 1 hour.
This is a standard 40 hours a week position, no overtime is available unless approved by a manager.
The current shift is from 8:00am to 5:00pm, any changes to the shift must be approved by the assistant parts manager or parts manager.
