SUMMARY The Director of IT will ensure that the streamlined operation of the IT department and Company Video and Telecom is in alignment with the business objectives of Company Resort. The Director of IT will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT, video and telecom related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department and Company Video and Telecom. They will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This person will also define and implement IT and TVT policies, procedures and best practices as well as work with government agencies to ensure TVT meets requirements to operate as a CLEC in the State of Idaho.Seeking strong knowledge of system administration (highly preferred)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the IT departments and TVT operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
  • Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT and TVT systems, including Internet services, telecommunications, video, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment. Keep current with the latest technologies.
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
Manage financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Approve and oversee projects and project portfolios. Develop requests for proposal.
  • Develop and implement all IT and TVT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements.
  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, property owners, homeowners, club members and fellow employees.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems and of current network hardware, protocols and standards.
  • Extensive application support experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure planning and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets, etc.
  • Ability to diagnose technical requirements to meet technological needs and recommend advanced technical solutions to satisfy technological needs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE At least 6 years of related work experience and a solid career path developed and supported through their work experience and education of, at the minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in the field or equivalent education.

SKILLSSkills in leadership, supervising, training, mentoring, motivating, communicating, coaching, counseling, advising on disciplinary matters/actions with others and use of office automation equipment.
