Irrigation Technician

Guardian Landscape & Maintenance is seeking full-time Irrigation Technician in the Treasure Valley Idaho. Commercial Landscaping and Maintenance.

The Position:

We’re looking for an Irrigation Technician with strong work ethic, loves to work outdoors, and someone who has excellent customer relations skills. We are a full-service lawn maintenance company, the job applicant will be required to mow, trim, and blow debris, prune trees and shrubs, do spring and fall cleanups.

Has dependable transportation

Reliable and willing to work.

Our Work week is 4 days long.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Diagnose and troubleshoot irrigation related issues

Maintain and Repair residential and commercial irrigation systems

Maintain job records, compete work orders, and customer billing

Start up and winterize irrigation systems

Operate and maintain company vehicles and service vans

Maintain positive client relationships and answer on-site questions

Keep current with emerging industry trends through continued education requirement

Ability to speak, read, write in English. Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable

Willingness to help all departments

MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE:

install / repair pipe: PVC, copper, and poly

Basic head repair and adjust

valve operation and repair

Copper soldering

Basic controller programming and operation

Electrical troubleshooting: multimeter, toner, locator, and clump meter

Sensor operation and installation

Back flow including codes, operation, and repair

Basic Hydraulic principals - flow and pressure

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Working outside in all weather and conditions

Requires bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and lifting

Comfort with, and having physical dexterity to operate heavy machinery and digging tools: backhoes, dump trucks, front end loaders, small and large trenchers, shovels, augers

Exposure to dust, grease, noise, and chemical vapors - PPE is provided

Ability to move and / or lift of 50lbs, and ask for help for heavier items

Pay:

$20 - $28 / hr DOE to start
