ROLE

As a Showroom Sales & Customer Relations Specialist, you will be the face of Kilohana Lighting, Inc., playing a vital role in our customer experience. In this engaging position, you'll be responsible for guiding customers through our showroom, understanding their needs, and helping them find the perfect lighting solutions. Additionally, a significant role for this position is cultivating meaningful connections with our clients and trade partners. Your knack for networking and your ability to foster long-term relationships will be tantamount to shaping the customer experience, reflecting our dedication to excellence, and expanding our business outreach.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Interactions:

Greet customers entering the showroom with a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor.

Understanding customer needs through effective questioning and listening.

Offer assistance and provide knowledgeable advice on products.

Guiding customers through the buying process, including product selection and payment.

2. Sales & Product Knowledge:

Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of our products and their applications with an emphasis on

features and benefits.

Provide detailed and accurate product specifications and pricing, including comparing different

models and brands.

Maintaining in-depth knowledge of products and staying updated on new features and models.

Identifying new product categories and items that bring value to our clients and market base

providing revenue opportunities for the team.

3. Customer Relationship Management:

Building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers and our trade partners.

Follow-up with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction and encourage referrals, online reviews, and repeat

business.

Promptly address and resolve customer inquiries and issues, both in-person and through phone and digital channels.

Coordinating with other teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

4. E-commerce Sales:

Overseeing the online sales process, ensuring a smooth transaction experience for customers.

Coordinating with the logistics team for order processing, shipping, and delivery for online sales.

5. Online Customer Engagement:

Engaging with customers through the website's live chat feature, if available, or via email.

Responding to inquiries and providing product information.

Managing and responding to customer reviews and feedback posted on the website.

6. Marketing and Promotions:

Collaborating in marketing efforts, such as promotional events, product launches, and monthly sales specials.

Assisting in the creation of marketing materials like brochures, banners, and various forms of digital content.

Utilizing social media platforms to promote products, share events, and engage with customers.

7. Showroom Management:

Maintaining the appearance and organization of the showroom and product displays.

Maintaining the catalog and sample finishes library to the most current materials available.

Ensuring product displays are correctly labeled, attractive, and engaging.

8. Sales Administration:

Processing sales transactions and handling cash and card payments.

Keeping accurate records of sales and customer interactions.

Updating inventory management systems or databases with inventory information.

Tracking shipments and providing updates to Sales Orders and the relevant parties requiring updated information.

Tracking and maintaining accounts receivable and collections.

9. Website Content Management:

Regularly updating and managing the content on the website, including product descriptions, images, and pricing.

Collaborating with the marketing team to ensure that the website content is in line with current marketing

campaigns and promotions.

10. Collaboration with Team:

Working collaboratively with other team members to meet sales goals.

Participating in team meetings and contributing ideas for improving customer experience and sales.

11. Continuous Improvement:

Participating in training programs to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and productivity skills.

Suggesting improvements in logistics processes to increase efficiency.

Participating in training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in retail sales, customer service, or a related role.

Skills:

Proficiency in sales and customer relationship management.

Interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to quickly learn product details and applications.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years in high-end retail sales or showroom management.

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of lighting products and design.

Experience in interior design or home décor sales.

Proven ability to upsell and meet sales targets.
