PreSchool Teacher Assistant/Teacher Aide

Little Hoku Montessori Academy in Kihei is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Teacher Assistant/Teacher Aide. The position involves supporting classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and assisting the lead teacher.

Requirements:

Must be a PATCH approved aide or assistant teacher, or be willing to obtain qualification (including fingerprinting, background check, employer history, and medical check).

Must have permission to work in the U.S.

Montessori experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities.

Support students in their learning and development.

Maintain a positive and nurturing classroom environment.

Collaborate with other staff members and parents.

Holidays and Breaks: Most holidays, Little Hoku is closed, and you will not be expected to work. Little Hoku observes standard academic school year breaks, including fall, spring, winter, and summer breaks. You will not be expected to work during breaks, except for teacher work days. Compensation includes payment for Holidays and Breaks.

Temporary Disability Insurance Coverage.

Tuition Remission: Your children (aged 3-6) will receive 90% tuition remission.

Compensation: Pay will be commensurate with qualifications, degree, years of experience, and Montessori experience.

Work Hours: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
