Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client that is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architect in Alpharetta, GA.Summary:The SRE Architect will design and coordinate implementation of cloud infrastructure including Kubernetes clusters and components, databases, and storage, serverless functionality, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure reliability controls (monitoring, alerting, security policies, etc.) to migrate LNRS applications from on-premises data centers to Microsoft Azure. This migration also involves a transition to DevOps practices, agile support, and process automation. This role requires the ability to understand business needs and technical solution options, provide evidence-backed design input, communicate effectively with audiences of varying technical depth, influence decision-making, implement solutions consistent with best practices, and verify and effectively maintain those solutions, whilst operating within a fast-paced environment driving multiple initiatives in parallel.REQUIREMENTS: BSc+ in Engineering/Computer Science/IT, advanced degree preferred Industry certification for Cloud Developers/Architects (Prefer Azure; Related: AWS, Google Cloud Platform) 10+ years of professional experience, including demonstrable success in project leadership roles 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or SRE roles on a major cloud platform Leadership/design of application and/or infrastructure migration projects from on-prem to cloud Proven expert in partnering and leading technology resources in solving complex business needs Cloud architecture design and implementation to solve key business needs and meet team goals Familiarity with current Microsoft Azure solutions; AWS and Google Cloud Platform experience also considered Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Prefer Terraform; Related: Ansible, Puppet, ARM templates) Automated CI/CD pipelines (Prefer GitHub Actions; Related: Jenkins, Argo CD) Containerized workloads (Prefer AKS & Helm; Related: EKS, other K8s distributions, Docker, JFrog) Serverless solutions (e.g., Logic Apps, Function Apps, Functions, WebJobs, AWS Lambda) Logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Fluentd, Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) Network Security (e.g., Azure Policy, Active Directory/RBAC, ACLs, NSG rules, private endpoints) Big Data Analytics (e.g., Databricks, Synapse)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
