- Develop SCADA and operator interface applications.
- Design industrial databases (such as SQL Server and Oracle) and write custom computer programs for Southwire Continuous Rod (SCR) systems.
- Interface with PLCs and drive systems.
- Apply standard procedures to trouble shoot mechanical and electrical components, diagnose, and resolve issues.
- Create project manuals and electrical schematics using CAD.
- Develop cost estimates and proposals for electrical and SCADA systems.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of SCR systems.
- Assist with on-site commissioning of all aspects of an SCR system.
- This individual will transfer know-how to SCR customers through training, discussions, presentations, and startup assistance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field is required.
- 3-6 years' experience (compensation will be based on experience) but candidates must have industrial experiences.
- SCADA system experience (preferably GE iFix or Rockwell FactoryTalk).
- Experience working with Industrial Databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Proficy Historian.
- Computer programming, networking, database, and reporting skills.
- Siemens or Rockwell PLC and drive experience preferred.
- CAD experience with AutoCAD preferred.
