Systems Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Juno Beach, FL that is seeking a Systems Administrator.In this role, the Systems Administrator will work within the compliance group to: Perform security and compliance gap analysis of systems and applications deployed on Microsoft, Red Hat and IBM servers Design, write and test, short scripts to interrogate the system and compare the output to -known good- Enhance current controls used for gathering evidence of compliance from target systems Assist with the design of a patch workflow to automate patching process using satellite or other patching technologies Review vendor security advisories and assist SME determining the criticality of the patch/upgrade Make recommendations to facilitate compliance with the NERC CIP requirements Evaluate potential solutions to facilitate access controls and access management Develop and test scripts to automate access control auditing and periodic reviews of access authorizations Assist with the deployment, configuration, and administration of systems including software installation, update, and core services or Red Hat/AIX environments Test new Linux OS releases, configure, upgrade, patch, and secure servers Design and support automation of Red Hat/AIX/windows system patching Create shell scripts to automate data extraction from files, settings, and/or logs Create, maintain, and document corporate standards and Unix/Linux scripting jobsREQUIREMENTS: 3+ years of experience using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Version 7.x, 8.x Knowledge of information security/authorization profiles, and system administration of Unix, AIX and Windows networks/systems Ability to understand and write scripts (Unix, PowerShell) Must have prior experience using Red Hat Satellite Preferred: Experience with Windows 2008 and 2010, Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and Active Directory Experience in operating IBM (AIX) Skilled in managing a virtualization platform like VMWare Knowledge /Experience with NERC CIP Standards Familiarity with DoD's Security Technical Implementation Guides Familiarity with compliance tools such as those using Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Prior experience using WSUS or other patch management systemsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
