RESPONSIBILITIES:A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Firewall Engineer in Coral Gables, Florida (FL).Summary:A Senior Firewall Engineer has solid Level-2 capability as related to network design/architecture covering data, voice, storage to support strategy and business requirements for connectivity, capacity, security, resilience, recovery, and access. This may incorporate all aspects of the communications infrastructure, internal and external, mobile, public, private, cloud, Intranet, and data centers.Responsibilities include: Level-2 responsibility for network strategy, architecture, implementation, and steady-state support Senior Firewall Engineer produces network design policies addressing connectivity, capacity, interfacing, security, resilience, recovery, access, and remote access Produces and maintains specifications, topologies, configuration, and design documentation Assesses associated risks; Specifies recovery routines and contingency proceduresREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Current networking certifications preferred, (CCNA/CCNP) Certifications in Palo Alto, FortiGate, Citrix NetScaler, and related security technologies a plus 10+ years of related work experience or any equivalent combination Level-2 experience with Cisco routing and switching technology Knowledgeable with enterprise wireless technology Must be comfortable with technical elements of network security and design, to include IPsec VPN (S2S, RA, DMVPN & B2B) TCP/IP, firewalls, IPS/IDS, VoIP, load balancers, routers, and switches Knowledge of packet capture using Wireshark or other tools and familiar with packet analysis and inspection Excellent written, oral, and communication skills Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment Some travel may be required for meeting with stakeholders, network projects, etc. Ability to lift at least 50lbs for hardware equipment installations as needed Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls is a plus Knowledgeable in Cisco Unified Communications Manager and UCCX is a plus Knowledge of Hybrid Cloud networking design concepts and experience working in hybrid cloud environment is a plusKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
