Private Home Caregiver

We are looking for a CNA, LPN or RN to care for our dear, elderly father. He is friendly and enjoys being read to (as he is virtually blind). He likes to have interesting conversations and is still eager to learn about a variety of topics. He has an incredibly sharp mind and memory.

My father has a colostomy bag that needs to be emptied frequently and changed weekly. Prior experience with a bag is essential as the area is herniated. He also needs help performing daily tasks, such as dressing, showering, meal preparation, etc. He uses a walker and is mobile, yet needs spotting/assistance. Household chores such as loading/emptying dishwasher, washing/folding laundry, cleaning and other tasks are required.

We already have several dedicated caregivers alternating shifts. We need another person—either full time or part time—who can work at least one weekend shift. Day hours are 7 am to 5 pm, night shifts are 5 pm to 7 am. This is not a live-in position.
