Octagon Talent Solutions is searching for a
Cisco Network Engineer, able to discuss and design advanced routing, security, network management, data center, and IP multicast of complex, multi-layered enterprise architectures that include VPNs and wireless domains for one of our rapidly growing MSP clients in Miramar, Florida! Responsibilities- Develop, design, implement and maintain network/telephony infrastructure and security to support all identified business needs, including VOIP telephony system
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the design of routed and switched networks involving LAN, WAN, and dial access for larger networks.
- Advanced knowledge of the network design concepts and principles required to develop multi-layer enterprise architectures and network components.
- Strong understanding of the business and IT industry.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends solutions for improving the overall network health by assessing overall effectiveness and efficiency
- Evaluates new technologies and platforms to determine whether their applicability aligns with businesses needs
- Design, configure, and install network devices like Cisco Switches, WANs, services virtualization and routing protocols
- Troubleshoots and resolves all expedited issues impacting the customers’ challenges and needs
- Build scalable internetworks, build multilayer switched networks, and design network service architecture.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the design of routed and switched networks involving LAN, WAN, and dial access for larger networks.
- Required 3-5 years of experience of progressively responsible experience
- Advanced knowledge of the network design concepts and principles required to develop multi-layer enterprise architectures and network components.
- Strong understanding of the business and industry
- Able to identify, prioritize, and solve complex network-related problems
- Able to work in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment
- Poise under pressure and comfort with ambiguity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Active CCNP Security required; CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Collaboration professional certification is preferred.
