BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICAL / ENGINEER’S ASSISTANT / STABLE WORK HISTORY

We are currently searching for a qualified and reliable maintenance engineer’s assistant to be part our maintenance department, is responsible for completing all service requests at the direction of the maintenance supervisor or property manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete apartment service tickets and log all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion

Service Requests - complete residents service requests in within 24-hour period

Perform various maintenance functions including but not limited to painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, lock repairs, window/door repairs, electrical repairs, appliance repairs, preventative maintenance, and changing light bulbs, filters, batteries in a responsible and professional manner that meets industry standards as needed by the apartment community.

Assist with the organization and cleanliness of maintenance shop

Provide excellent customer service to residents

Responds immediately to emergency repairs situations

Complies with the Association policies regarding completion of maintenance duties ad residential work orders

Performs any other assignments as need by management in other building departments

Must be available for on-call work

Respond to resident service requests; enter and track requests using a work order system

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in plumbing and electricity (essential)

General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service

Apartment general maintenance and repairs experience is a plus

HVAC experience

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders

Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally

Good Command of English language

Maturity in judgment

Dependable

advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

Effective problem-solving abilities.

Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

Great eye for detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

Experience Required: Five (5) years in related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
