Job Number: R0147952 Reliability Engineer, SeniorKey Role:Develop and apply methodologies and techniques to analyzes preliminary engineering-design concepts of naval vessels or C5I components to recommend design or test methods for attaining customer-specified operational reliability, using knowledge of reliability engineering and other technologies. Analyze preliminary plans and develops reliability engineering program to achieve customer reliability objectives. Participate in failure mode and effect critical analysis (FMECA) actions, support Conditioned Based Maintenance (CBM) design, assessment, and implementation, identify key failure modes and support proposed changes in design. Simulate electrical inputs, transient conditions, temperature, stress, and other factors to develop computer models, and analyzes and adjusts design to predict and improve system reliability. Advise and confer with engineers in design review meetings to give reliability findings and recommendations. Review engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering activities on large-scale DoD acquisition programs
  • Knowledge of reliability tools, including RAPTOR or TIGER
  • Knowledge of reliability test planning, scoring and results analysis, failure reporting and corrective action system (FRACAS ) or reliability maintainability improvement program (RMIP )
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering or mechanical engineering field
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with US Navy platforms and combat systems, surface and air-launched weapons, C4I, Sensor, and Electronic Warfare systems
  • Ability to write detailed reports and effectively prepare and give presentations
  • Possession of strong interpersonal skills
  • Certified Reliability Engineer
