  • Candidate will direct and actively participate in 4-5+ active workstreams associated with daily support of, and improvements to, a State Unemployment System and the surrounding processes. The team handles daily business requests and performs recurring business and technical support tasks while working on all types and sizes of projects. In addition to these activities, the candidate will lead and actively participate in a series of initiatives to identify and implement opportunities as well as system and process efficiencies. Experienced in workflow and process improvements, the candidate will work with team members to guide the understanding of current state processes and work collaboratively with stakeholders to define the desired target state and execute on that plan. This includes developing project plans, orchestrating the execution against that plan, coordinating quality assurance activities, and delivering projects to completion. This candidate will also be expected to manage various levels of stakeholder interactions up to and including director-level engagement.
o Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5-8 years of hands-on project management experience / PMO (or 3-5 years consulting experience)
  • Multiple project workstream responsibilities
  • Project team management
  • Effective risk / issue management, mitigation, escalation, and communication
  • Waterfall (PMP) and Agile (CSM/Coach) methodologies experience
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • SDLC - Software/application delivery experience
  • Experience with all levels of stakeholder management
o Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working with state Unemployment Compensation systems
  • Experience working on government projects
  • Knowledge of laws, rules, goals, and objectives of the unemployment compensation program
  • Vendor management experience
  • Experience working with ServiceNow
o Required/Preferred Education:
  • B/A degree
  • Project Management certification
