Operations analyst needed for a hedge fund (3-5 years exp.)

An iconic multi-strategy asset management firm is looking for an Operations Analyst with 3-5 years of experience. You should understand hedge funds and its processes. You will work on settlement issues, trades, diagnostic reports; handle accounting tasks, like reconciliation; prepare and manage P&L reports; and work on agreements and new accounts. Some of the work you will do will be automated, but you should be well-versed in handling manual tasks as well. You should have a strong background working with traders, brokers, accounting and finance staff, and be prepared to deal with customers. A solid understanding of appropriate processes and terminology, spanning various markets, is essential for this role. Being immersed in the trade workflow, its mechanisms and particulars should give you the experience we seek. You should be experienced with working with Excel and SQL. A thorough awareness of data providers, such as Bloomberg; as well as data visualization experience with Tableau are all helpful. You will work in a hybrid mode between a variety of technical and functional departments. Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
