Training Manager Denver, CO Long Term Contract

ResponsibilitiesThe Training Manager is responsible for managing all projects within a specific portfolio within the Training and Quality organization. The role is accountable for developing the full scope of projects and enhancements to existing programs to ensure continuous improvement and ensure the organization is functioning in as lean a manner as possible. A Training Manager will identify and manage key resources to ensure the goals of the program are achieved. This role must be able to work independently and execute with minimal direction from management.

Responsibilities:The TM will be responsible for managing, supporting and driving the implementation, execution, and effectiveness of all training related activities across all Dish and Wireless:
  • Conceptualize complete solutions and coordinate effective decision-making
  • Create or coordinate the solutions for complex problems by identifying the key decision-maker(s) and those to be informed; integrate regulatory and operational needs; perform cost/benefit analysis; provide full trade-off analysis and hold the project team and management accountable for decision-making responsibilities.
  • Analyze program/project requirements, create designs, and provide documentation by utilizing client's specified tools and methodologies
  • Maintain active participation in the Initiation, Planning, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing phases of initiatives across the Training and Quality Department
  • Work with diverse teams across the organization to understand business objectives, plan and evaluate execution.
  • Communicate regularly with other managers, the Director, Sr Vice President, Sr Managers and other designated contacts within the Training organization.
  • Stay current with changes with all lines of business, KPI’s and the needs of our internal customers
  • Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization.
  • Plan and implement systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and the goals of the department efficiently and effectively, leading employees to meet organizational goals and managing employee performance.
  • Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules, develop solutions to program problems, and direct work of others assigned to program from various groups within the Training and Quality Org Manage the planning, development, design, and implementation of assigned program, including tracking schedules, issues, tasks and team members.
  • Develop standard practices and documentation to sustain programs

Skills, Experience and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in training leadership and/or project management
  • Strong vendor management skills and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess high energy to maintain a sense of urgency
  • Managing ambiguity and operating effectively when the way forward is not clear.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.
  • Maneuvering comfortability through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.
  • Create and deliver a compelling picture of the vision strategy that motivates others to action.
